Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between Armologic Ltd. ("Armologic", "we") and you ("User", "you") regarding your use of the ArmoConnect desktop app, rendezvous/relay service, license service and the armoconnect.com website (collectively the "Service"). By downloading, installing or using the Service you accept these Terms.

1. Definitions

• Free: The edition for personal, non-commercial use that requires no license.
• Pro: The paid edition that requires a valid license and permits commercial use.
• License: The hardware-bound (HWID), digitally signed authorization that unlocks Pro features.

2. License and right of use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the Service.

• The Free edition is for personal, non-commercial use only.
• The Pro edition permits commercial use on as many devices as the seats purchased.
• You may not reverse engineer, bypass license/feature gates, resell or distribute the software without authorization.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only to connect to devices you are authorized to access. You agree not to:

• engage in any unlawful activity, including unauthorized access, surveillance, malware distribution or fraud;
• violate third-party rights or access their devices without consent;
• overload the Service infrastructure or attempt to bypass security measures.

Using the Service in social-engineering fraud (e.g. tech-support scams) is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of your license.

4. Accounts, payment and subscription

Pro licenses are sold through our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Limited. Purchases are additionally subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms.

• Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected period (monthly/yearly) until cancelled.
• Prices may be shown excluding applicable taxes; taxes are calculated and collected by Paddle.

5. Software updates

We may release updates to improve the Service, fix vulnerabilities or add functionality. Updates are distributed as signed packages. We may change or remove certain features over time.

6. License expiry and graceful degradation

If your Pro license expires or is cancelled, the software reverts to the Free feature set without data loss. Your contact list and settings are preserved; only Pro features are restricted.

7. Intellectual property

The Service and all related intellectual property rights belong to Armologic Ltd. and are protected by copyright and other laws. These Terms grant you only a limited right of use; they do not transfer ownership.

8. Privacy

How we process your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. ArmoConnect is end-to-end encrypted; your session content (screen, input, files) cannot be seen by our servers.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied (including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or error-free operation).

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Armologic Ltd. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages (including data loss, business interruption or lost profits). Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms. You may terminate at any time by ceasing to use the Service and uninstalling the software.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales; your rights under the mandatory protective provisions of your country of residence as a consumer are reserved.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post material changes on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
